2015

AROUND SJAELLAND and FYN

In 2015 we went back to the Baltic Sea for a summer cruise - our main destination was Copenhagen again. On the way there we visited “family and friends”, namely first the nieces and their parents who were vacationing in the Bay of Lübeck, and from there via Warnemünde to Rügen, where we met friends on their vacation there.

For the rest of our journey we had decided to sail the Guldborgsund and use this route to reach our already tried and tested, lovely C'hagen route via Ulvsund and Boegestrom. The Guldborgsund is also very flat in parts, but with SNIFIX's centerboard trick it worked and we had an idyllic journey. In C'hagen our friends from Munich came back on board for a few days. They had already accompanied us from Kiel to Warnemünde in 2013 and wanted to see Copenhagen this year and sail part of the route north around Zealand. The port of Dragoer is ideal for such crew changes - not only because it's so pretty, but also logistically perfect, because it's much quicker to get to the airport from there than from the city of Copenhagen. We then moved from Dragoer to Nyhavn, had a lovely day in Copenhagen and then set off for the small, pretty (Swedish) island of Ven in the Sound. This is also a beautiful destination and we had a wonderful day on the island. Then something annoying happened - I had to return to my office in Hamburg for professional reasons and we interrupted the cruise for a week and went back to Dragoer. The following week we continued our cruise as a couple, sailed north past Helsingoer out of the sound and then heading west. In Gilleleje, we met other siblings on holiday there. We then slipped through the narrow passage through the Sjaellands Odde and headed for Sejeroe, from there via the Lille Belt towards home. And this year again everything with great summer and sailing weather!
